About Me

Ahh, the notorious about me page. When one writes about ones self it can either be a daunting and tedious task or it can flow like a calm river. The most difficult aspect is where to start. So, I believe to begin from the absolute beginning.

I was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on the 18th of September, 1975. Today that seems a long time ago. My father was in the Air Force currently serving at Pease AFB. We lived there up until about the age of two, none of which I can remember.

Our family then moved to Germany, Hahn AFB, for the next four years. I attended Kindergarten there and we then moved back to the states, Texas to be exact. From there, we lived in Texas for about 2 or 3 years (I cannot quite remember) and then moved on to the lovely state of California.

From California, after 3 years, we moved to Florida, man I had a nice tan back then. From Florida, we moved back to Texas where I graduated.

I graduated from Judson High School in 1994. At the time I did not have any goals in life so I joined the military. I wanted to go in as a Linguist to do translations, but the military had different ideas for me. They put me in as a security policeman.

I was stationed at Howard AFB, Panama for 2 years and then moved to Nellis AFB, Nevada. I will skip that part of my life history as that is where the hell of my life began.

I moved back to Texas and was hired at Dell. I worked there as a hardware technical support representative for about 3 years. This is where I started to learn how to program. I started out with Visual Basic 5. I then moved on to ASP and VB 6. After .Net came out I moved to that. I was laid off from Dell in 2001.

I moved onto a company called Iventa. I worked for Iventa for nearly 4 years. While at Iventa, I lived in Austin, TX for about 2 years and then moved to Mumbai, India for 6 months. I then moved to Los Angeles for nearly a year. I then moved back to Austin to be married after the hell in Los Angeles.

I finally quit Iventa after a long hard 4 years of doing .net, asp, sql and a bunch of hardware configurations.

I now work for a company called ThinkCash. Here is where I really learned how to program. Before I was just a “Fly-By-The-Seat-Of-Your-Pants” programmer. I have learned structure and discipline when it comes to coding. Which is what inspired me to start this blog and contribute back to the .net community (at least while it is still called .net).

So, that is the very quick history from birth until now. I am currently happily married with 2 children, both girls. I live in Fort Worth, Texas and have a nice home with 2 dogs and a cat (we don’t need to talk about the cat).

I love to play the piano, learn new languages (especially non-roman alphabet languages such as Hebrew, Greek and Russian). I also love to play Dungeons and Dragons (my inner geek is exposed). I play computer games and Xbox games, more PC than Xbox. I play LOTRO and am an ex-world of warcraft player. I also build model rockets and love to blow things up any chance I get (even though I have not had that chance since I was in the Air Force).

So, by now you are probably bored out of your mind reading some stupid about me page, or you have not even gotten this far. If you are actually reading this part, I will be impressed.
